Mazaròl Lions : Chapter 37 "Part of The Plan"

At first, Heliodor puts on his shocked face but that only lasts for a few seconds until he laughs his belly off. Once Heliodor breaks into terrifying laughter, both Elio and Sofia look confused, not expecting such a reaction can change that fast. “Ha…” Finally done with it, Heliodor brings his head back to face them with a smirk on his face. “Do you really think you can beat me?” That face again and over again, an expression he always uses whenever achieving his victories. Since Elio is the one who already gets that a lot from Heliodor, there is nothing he can do other than expecting the worst. He knows about the tigers’ plan of betraying them on a plane where there must be someone who is assigned to take control of the flight. Can’t help it, Elio obviously irritated with the fact that Heliodor might be one step ahead from him. Again. Before coming here, Elio also already told Sofia not to say anything back to him because he knows exactly that Heliodor is just going to play along with it, making them lose focus then the victory is in his hand. With that on his mind, he decides not to say anything back and just focuses on hijacking the system with his own bot through his phone so Heliodor won’t notice it. “It’s useless. I know your plan already, little cub.” Heliodor says, noticing what they have been doing from the beginning, and slowly approaches them. Their distance is only three feets away with one another then Heliodor shows them what his bot is doing right now. It is already detecting every Elio’s newborn bot movement from the beginning up until now of how it tries to hack it. How impressive that Heliodor is able to make the bot become even more powerful, Elio can’t feel any prouder seeing his previous bot can get to this high level of sensitivity. “You two owe me something. I didn’t tell my teammates about your plan so you don’t have to worry about them.” Heliodor says arrogantly while facing Sofia. At this moment, Sofia’s face is already bright red like all of her blood gathered on her face, no longer able to bottle up all of her anger inside. “How?” Is the first word that comes out from Sofia which makes Elio immediately look at her direction, worrying if she is going to walk offside of the plan “How can you know about our plan?” she asks with her deep voice. Getting this reaction, Heliodor gets back that previous satisfaction of watching the general’s face again as his smile is growing wider, ear to ear devilish smile. “Well… both good and bad news for you. Which one do you prefer to get first?” Heliodor asks with that smirk on his face, totally ready to enjoy his new game with someone who is never against him. “Just. Tell me.” Sofia replies with a demanding sound, getting even angrier as her eyes become sharper than ever. This is what Heliodor is looking forward to, the time when she is going to lose it will come and he will gain another victory with them. “The good one always comes first then.” Heliodor says and shows his tab’s screen once again, showing their business contract from the first time they met. “The signal can’t reach up to the balcony. Good enough you guys were sometimes talking there, right? Yep, I didn’t hear or get anything from there.” Heliodor explains. The way Heliodor is speaking, more like mocking, at her right now with that close distance between their faces, the urge of landing a fist on his fist is getting harder to bear with. Of course Heliodor notices the anger on Sofia’s face and obviously not letting this pass so easily as he stays there without saying any word before dropping the next one. “Now the bad news is. For you guys,” He draws his body back for a bit before bending down forward once again “Your little tiny shining that is always attached to you is my key to know everything about you guys.” This is the realization time that hits them and both of them put on their surprised faces but also confused at the same time. They never expect or suspect that thing is the key to how Heliodor can know everything about them. Another high level of satisfaction achieved by Heliodor because Elio also makes the same expression with his leader. “We are not even putting it on whenever we are staying in the room though. How can you possibly know about it?” Sofia asks confusedly of not getting which makes Heliodor chuckle once again. “Partner.” He turns his head at Elio who is watching them the whole time from beside “What do you think?” Based on how he is going to play along with Heliodor’s game, Elio needs to focus on the words he just used previously. Key. “Is it a connector? A chip that has a certain radius for you to connect with some devices? Just like how you always do?” Elio guests quickly based on his observation this whole time of how Heliodor works. Once again, Heliodor chuckles, feeling totally satisfied by Elio’s short yet get all of the points needed. “Your mind is never dull, huh? As sharp as sabertooth’s fangs.” He replies while clapping his hands lightly as he starts to approach Elio slowly. Same movement just like how Heliodor always treats him whenever he wants to annoy, which is putting one of his arms around Elio’s shoulders. “What a shame that you refuse to work together with me, Sam Elio.” Heliodor whispers closely in Elio's ear then pulls his body back to face him “We could dominate the entire world and no one will be able to win against us.” Same circumstance, this is where Heliodor will pause himself for talking and just carefully reading Elio’s face. However, this is where the difference kicks in once Heliodor finally for the first time today gets something that is not what he expected before. The thing he is always looking for whenever he teases Elio is the darkening expression on his face but this time but this is totally different. “What truly honor of being able to be someone who is going to fight against you.” Elio says mockingly with that smirk on his face and full with confidence as he brings his chin up. Again but this time, Heliodor is the one who doesn't have a slight clue of what Elio planned, another plan that got passed through him, which makes him look purely terrified. “Nice show, capt. We got that.” Elio says and looks at his leader who always can bluff anyone with her acting. God’s gift. “Well… it sure is a talent from birth.” Sofia says with a smirk on her face, that furious face can no longer be found, and sends a signal through her phone, telling all of the members to put Elio’s chip that they have given to each other before coming. Heliodor's turn looks surprised with widened eyes and disbelievement of not knowing their secret plan. He is supposed to know everything since their room is literally always in his watch, especially for their hacker since Heliodor knows Elio is their key to success. But again this is Heliodor we are talking about, his confidence and mentality is as strong as the great wall of China which is still not enough to erase the smirk on his face. “You sure think such a cheap trick can destroy my bot, huh? I’m starting to feel bad that your geniusness only can get this far.” Heliodor says with that smug face then scoffs. “Mhm. Thank you for your pity and I think I should say this.” Elio says respectfully, his face doesn’t change at all. “For the first time since we have met, what we feel is finally matched.” Not with a smirk but an innocent looking smile on him. Hearing that obviously makes Heliodor furrowed both of his eyebrows, confused of where those confidences are coming from. In this moment, Elio almost behaves like Heliodor which gives goosebumps to Sofia who is watching them the whole time. Whoaa… he really changes a lot… Sofia says inside of her, can’t feel any prouder than this. Not letting this chance go away, she notices how Elio gets all of Heliodor’s attention on him which means Heliodor most likely won’t notice what she is doing right now. Finally after all this time, trials by trials, chances by chances, for the first time, Elio’s prediction happens exactly like how he wanted it to be. What makes it even more entertaining for Elio is that it seems like a cat got Heliodor’s tongue as he just stands there with his mouth slightly open but no words can come out. But the plan needs to be continued as he also learns of not letting any of his guard down even though he really wants to enjoy these reactions of Heliodor a bit longer. They are on the step where Elio needs to make Heliodor only focus on him as long as possible. “We mutually feel pity for each other.” Not wanting to let the silence between them allow Heliodor to pull himself together. How fascinating it is to see Heliodor’s expression only getting more confused than before for Elio. “Wha-” the first word comes out from Heliodor but Elio cuts in right away. “I feel pity that you don’t even know your bot weaknesses. Because I’m about to shut it down.” Elio says with the same expression from before, that pure smile. Sofia might not expect this but Heliodor scoffs after hearing what Elio just informed him just now. “Ha! Like what? You don’t even know how powerful and how much this bot changed once it got into my hand, don’t cha?” Heliodor says arrogantly. This is one of the patterns that Elio gets once Heliodor put into a losing position, he will start to threaten his opponent and keep a strong arrogant image as if he won’t lose to anything. “True. The bot is still on. I don’t know anything about it once it gets into your hand. But I think you should remember that I’m the owner of that bot.” Elio says calmly, still not getting rid of the eye contact. Once again, for the first time in history, between a tiger and lion, the lion is the one who wants to look away from the opponents. That great wall seems to get cracked in some of the parts where it is about to fall and all of his emotions will flow out like a Niagara Waterfall. “So what? It doesn’t change the fact that you don’t know anything about its improvement, right?” Heliodor replies still with that arrogant face on him. Knowing what exactly he needs to do and how dominant his area in this field is, this is the right time to drop the bomb. Since a smirk is no longer working, Elio uses one of his AS cards which breaks into laughter. Not a normal one but more like a devilish one which is the one that could make everyone terrified once hearing it, even Sofia gets another shivering from it. “Can’t you even argue that I'm the owner of that bot? I thought your brain was supposed to be so good at this?” Elio says but this time with that devilish grin on his face. That’s it, Heliodor finally gets enough from Elio’s provocation as he charges forward and pulls his shirt up by force then slam his body to the nearest wall. “Tell. me.” Heliodor demands with his as sharp as lion’s eyes who is ready to devour its prey. The card is still on as Elio’s grin is still there and it grows even wider that it’s almost the biggest smile on Elio that Heliodor never knew existed. “Deja vu, isn't it? Now I know how you feel back then when I’m the one who did this to you. Congrats. We have something mutual again.” Elio provokes him once again. The anger is still flowing inside of him which makes him draw his gun from his back and aim it at Elio’s jaw, totally leaving his tab hanging. “Listen to me, you little bastard! Tell me else your brain will get one of these!” Heliodor threatens him angrily and puts more pressure on Elio’s neck which makes him a bit hard to breathe. This is not a part of the plan and Elio’s prediction but this is truly another bonus for increasing the rate of their success. Sofia quickly and slowly approaches them from behind as she tries putting another Elio’s chip that is different from the others. Thanks to her background that she can muffle her walk just like an assassin, she has been a thief since she was 10 afterall. Can slightly see what his leader is doing, it seems like Elio’s job in this part is done so he doesn’t need to lure him anymore. “There.. There is a program that I put in.. based on my weakness..” Elio says while suffocating from Heliodor’s tight pressure. One of Heliodor’s eyebrows twitches when he hears that and takes his hand off from Elio’s neck. The sudden movement almost makes Elio fall on the ground but he manages to stand still with his legs then uses one of his hands on the part where his neck got choked before. Even though Heliodor already sets Elio free with his hand, his gun is not aiming anywhere other than at his head. The only thing that is on his mind right now is knowing about Funkids’s weaknesses, nothing else which is one of the biggest mistakes in his entire life. Thankfully before Heliodor takes a step back from Elio, Sofia who is in the way of putting the chip successfully dodge his unexpected movement. According to Heliodor’s action of where his eyes are still on Elio and aims at him, it means that he doesn’t notice anything that Sofia has been doing. Since she already put it on, the next step for her is to sneak into the cockpit to take control of the plane. Of course it is locked but that is why she needs to spread the chips around the plane to make the bot on Elio get stronger. She needs Elio to use one of the devices on him to open the door but in this condition it’s impossible. That is why to make it efficient, Sofia is getting ready to stand right in front of the cockpit’s door. Once Elio gets a chance to open the door, Sofia will quickly get in. If anything goes wrong or Heliodor tries to murder her before getting into it, she is totally prepared to have a gunshot against him. “Say it. Now.” Heliodor orders once again, his voice is deeper and more demanding than before. Not daring to glance at Sofia who is sneaking behind Heliodor’s back to get inside the cockpit, Elio needs to stay still as well as not break any eye contact with Heliodor. The smirks crawl back up to Elio’s face which makes Heliodor look at him disgusted. “Just like Sapphire, I got a special gift when I was born.” Elio says and leans his body on the wall, acting all relaxed and calm in this situation where a gun is literally aiming at him. The way Elio is acting and speaking right now makes Heliodor get even more irritated as he charges forward again, closing the distance between Elio’s forehead with his gun. “One. Last. Chance.” seems like a lion's patience is as thin as a tissue, huh? To enjoy this one last moment because he knows what’s his next step, Elio lets out a satisfied long breath, closes his eyes for a few seconds, and is ready to go further. “I’m semi-color blinded. That is why I need to set up something on it to help me.” Elio simply says. Heliodor’s face is not changing at all, probably because of his overflowing emotion with anger though. “You said you have improved it, right? Each color from the codes has their own meaning. Very basic technique.” Elio continues and this is where Heliodor’s face changes into realization of how much he messed up. The anger is slowly fading away and his eyes are blinking a few times, each of it makes it softer. “You were right though. It is just a cheap chip. Only to destroy the anti color blind system.” This is the end of Elio’s explanation which makes Heliodor now totally awake of his mistake. He quickly grabs his tab to check on what they had done to his bot and just as how smooth it is, it shows that the bot is shutted down. The screen is still on but all of his systems and data are gone since Funkids no longer has the ability to read the codes that Elio has programmed on it. With his quick thinking, Heliodor notices another thing which is Sofia just disappearing from her seat and looks at the cockpit’s direction where she is getting ready to get inside. Before Heliodor can aim at her, Sofia is the first one who shoots him and it hits his shoulder because she has been watching them once she gets into the position. “Agh!” Heliodor groans in pain and quickly gets behind something as a cover. This is the chance where they have been looking for as Elio quickly draws his phone from his pocket to access the cockpit’s door. The sound of the cockpit’s door opens can be heard then Sofia quickly runs to get inside. On the other hand, Heliodor also notices that so he quickly gets out from his cover to shoot her back but this time he gets stopped by Elio as he tackles Heliodor down. Elio already set the door open only for 10 seconds and it will close automatically hence he doesn’t need to look over it again. Since the sound of the door closed is not yet be heard, Heliodor quickly pushes Elio away then tries to run into it. Unfortunately, the opponent is as persistent as him, a tiger who refuses to give up that easily against his enemy. Before Heliodor can get any further, Elio grabs his leg then pulls him back with all of his strength, making him stumble almost falling. Few seconds left for the cockpit’s door closing, Elio quickly gets up and punches Heliodor's face before he can turn around, hard enough to make him fall. The cockpit’s door is finally closed, meaning that it is impossible for Heliodor to get in unless he doesn't want to open it by force. Obviously violence is always an option. “Heh…” Heliodor scoffs and slowly gets up then turns around to face Elio who is ready on what is going to happen next with a knife on his right hand. “I never expect that we will be put up into this situation, Sam Elio.” He says with his chin up. Honestly Heliodor’s confidence might be even harder than The Great Wall China. Same thing for Elio, this might be the hardest part for him in this mission where he must face Heliodor in close combat. “Let’s see what you made of, little cub.” Heliodor says and draws his knife out from his side pocket. Story of a tiger saving innocent people’s lives from these heartless lions and the circle of this operation will be over.
