While Elio is still busy and trying his best to solve all of the codes, Onyx and Obsidian have no idea of what they need to do. For sure both of them know exactly what is going to happen next. Based on how this robot looks, totally covered with weapons, it is assigned to eliminate both of them. “A sudden survival game?” Onyx talks with herself irritatedly. They are hiding behind different pillars but their distance is not that far. As the robot stops moving forward, the gate behind it starts to close. Right after the gate totally closes, the lights in the room start to dim but not pitch black which both of them still can see. The room suddenly has red square patterns on the floor and the roof as well. Same goes with the robot, it looks like the scanner turns on its head to detect both of their movements. Onyx is still observing the whole room but suddenly gets interrupted by Obsidian who is calling her quietly. “Got any idea?” He whispers to Onyx. “I can be the bait for it. You can look for the right angle and time to strike it down.” Onyx replies to his question. However Obsidian seems doesn’t like the idea that he got from Onyx. “It will be better if you are the one who does it. I’m bad at looking for a chance to get in.” Obsidian says, trying to give a reason for Onyx to switch position with him. But from what Obsidian just said, Onyx figures that out it's ridiculous. From their previous work together, Obsidian always comes at the right time to save the team who went inside the safe room. Besides, there is a personal reason why Onyx keeps doing these. “All this time, I’m always the one who is in the team that gets into the safe room. You’re the one that comes to help us if anything goes wrong. How can you say that?” Onyx says with an raised eyebrow, like she is trying to interrogate Obsidian. “Ahh.. shibal..” Obsidian cursed irritatedly at himself that he just digs his own grave with that kind of excuse. “What?” Onyx asks as she looks at Obsidian confusedly because he just slightly slaps his face. “No, just.. I think it would be better if we switch positions.” Obsidian replies nervously right after he gets asked. Too fast that only makes Onyx feel irritated at how he is behaving right now. Not only that, she also feels like Obsidian is still not trusting her after what they have done together. “You don’t trust me, huh?” Onyx says suddenly with a bit louder voice and anger on it. On the other hand, Obsidian never thought that her reaction would turn out to be like this. Yep, he screwed up so badly that it made the situation worse than before. Obsidian needs to find something to say that could make the situation better. Thankfully, he realizes one of their conditions that they need to face the robots. “This time, we don’t have anything to defend ourself. You always have at least a knife on you, right? In our previous missions.” Obsidian says, once again trying to be more reasonable and less suspicious than before. From that, Onyx finally comes to realize what he just said is correct and starts scanning the room once again as looking for anything they could use. Seems like this time Obsidian’s reason is being considered by Onyx and he takes this chance to confirm their position would be switched. “You can look for the weapons. I will-” Obsidian tries to explain their plan but suddenly gets cut off as he sees a gun tip that is aimed at him. Only a couple of seconds right after he sees that, the robot’s censor hits Obsidian’s feet and shoots right in that place. As Obsidian recognizes that he quickly dodges it by moving to another side of the pillar in that mean time. “Target locked.” The sound that comes out from the robot as it also moves a bit faster than before to follow Obsidian movement. On the other hand, Onyx, who is on the other pillar, sees it and quickly takes this chance to look for a weapon. Onyx runs as fast as she can and checks every inch of the room and tries to not get detected by the robot. The room is not that big which makes Onyx able to do it in a short amount of time. Somehow she can’t find anything to use as a weapon for both of them. “Seriously. No weapon?” She complains with heavy breath while hiding on one of the pillars again “Then how can we-” another complaint can’t be finished because of someone’s voice who is shouting her name. “Onyx! It comes after you!” Obsidian shouts and the moment after that, less than 5 seconds, the robot shows up in front of Onyx with a gun aimed at her head. **Back to Elio’s Room** The last question is totally clueless for Elio as he also never sees this kind of sign. Even though it looks like there are 2 clues showing up, Elio is still confused about how to solve it. There are numbers ‘86’ in the center of a circle. Next clue is the last one and it.. “Looks like a sign? Code?” Elio raises one of his eyebrows as he reads the last clue. It is written as ‘XIXI-IIXII’. Is it related to Italian just like the previous one? But which one? All of it? The last one doesn’t seem like it's coming from Italy though.. At this point, Elio starts to feel desperate and frustrated about how to answer this number just based on these signs and numbers. But something in Elio’s instinct keeps telling him that it must be related to Italy since the previous one turned out from there. “The third code options are letters. Should it be letter number 86?” Elio mumbles but his eyes keep scanning from top to bottom of the paper. Actually, number 86 has a meaning in Italian but is it really related? Elio almost wants to give up, already feeling desperate of how these three clues can help him to break the last code, until suddenly something comes across his mind. “Is it related to the previous number..?” He mumbles and looks back at the second number which the answer is ‘uno’ in Italian, number 1. “Letter number 86?” That’s Elio’s first thought coming through his head. If he looks for letter number 86, that means he is only going to get one letter. It’s true that the third code options are letters but what’s the point of the second clue which is the sign that he never knew before. Is that just a distraction for me? But they won’t put it there for no reason, right? Elio is debating with himself and takes the biggest possibility that to solve the code, he needs to know the answer from the second clue. “Should I reverse the numbers? Or maybe it’s actually a hint to help solve the second sign?” He asks himself again and shakes his head lightly. “No, I can’t solve anything with one letter!” Elio says confusedly as he rubs his head again. Then.. does it actually mean letter number eight and six? Yeah that’s possible. Elio thinks and tries to write down letter number 8 and 6 which are H and F. “Agh! Come on!” Elio says frustratedly, almost reaching his limit of patience. He is just about to give up but suddenly something pops out inside his mind about connecting dots with the previous number. “Uno game..” He slowly looks back up to the paper. That card game might be used as another hint for Elio. “There are normal card numbers.. Plus two and four.. ” Break a code with a number already passed which is the second number, Elio passes it right away. “Skip..” Skip card..? For Elio, he will pass it again since the rule on him right now is that there is no escape option for him. “Reverse..” He says as he tries to connects all the dots again from the clues, starting from the first clue ‘later’ With the ‘reverse’ card comes across his mind, he tries to reverse the numbers to 68. Unfortunately, it still is not working since he does not have any idea of what he is going to do with letters H and F together. “Maybe not reverse the numbers but the alphabet orders?” Elio says confusedly as he rubs his head. “Wait..” Elio slowly writes down the alphabet number that starts from behind. Number 8 starts from Z is S and number 6 is U. The word ‘su’ in Italian means 'up’ in English. “Up..?” Elio says and slowly turns around the paper to the camera as showing if his answer is correct or not. Green light pops out which means he is half way to solve it. “Does that mean this code is related to uno game?” He refers to the second clue. Back again to the code options, he needs to find a letter not a number. Then how come the uno game is related to it since it only has numbers in it? The color of the card? Another function again? However, aren’t those not really close to this sign? What is this sign anyway? Is it leading to some kind of letters too? Questions keep coming out inside Elio’s head and it almost gives him a headache. Suddenly when he thinks and sees the paper back to back from the second and third number, it reminds him that uno cards literally only have numbers on each of them. “Or wait.. Is it a number?” He looks closely at the paper once again and this kind of sign looks familiar with “Roman numerals?” Elio guesses. Even though it has two signs that are similar with roman numerals, the order of writing it seems not quite right.. There are only X and I which mean 10 and 1. The first code might be easy for him to crack since it doesn’t make much difference with how to write it down. He just needs to change the order from XIXI to XXII which means the first sign is number 22. However, how about the second one? ‘IIXII’ is not how to write roman numerals. “Should I reverse it again?” Elio asks himself as he tries to write down his answer on the blank space of paper. Before he tries to write down the reversal of the first sign, it makes the writing roman numerals seem in the wrong order. In that chase, Elio gets the idea that this clue is actually the wrong order so that he needs to write roman numerals in the wrong order as well. Since this is the second clue from the same number which is number three, it must be related to the reverse card that he used on the previous one. The first sign of ‘XIXI’, he knows the correct roman numerals write it is ‘XXII’ but he reverse the order becomes like this ‘IIXX’ “The answer should be eighteen for this one.” Elio says as he writes it down on the paper below the sign. He shows his answer but there is no reaction for it, no sign of either green or red light popping out. Yes, actually Elio wants to try if he gets a chance to ask for hints if he is going in the right direction or not. Seems like his idea gets caught by the people who are testing him now. At this point, Elio only can use his intelligence to solve the question and instinct if he is on the right track. With the result of not getting any hint, Elio just believes that he is on the right track and goes to the next sign without changing the first one. “Alright then. Letter number eighteen it is.” He says as he writes down his answer on the paper below the sign that he just reorganized. Moving on to the second sign, there are two possibilities for the answer in Elio’s mind right now. It could be 14 as he writes it ‘XIIII’ but it is also possible for the reversed one which is it would be 16 as ‘IIIIX’ This is where he probably needs to gamble his answer to choose the correct one. Before choosing it directly, Elio takes his time to focus on other questions, looking for if he could find other clues to at least know which one has the bigger possibilities. First number answer is United Kingdom money currency. Is it related? Or will I find a clue from the long text? Elio asks himself as he takes the paper of number one and scans the text from top to bottom. The fairy tale from number 1 is titled ‘The Three Clever Kings’ In that story, the second and third king’s nephews, who are chosen to be the next king, are facing a similar case on their test. Both of them do something for their city first but can’t take the pressure from the people. Meanwhile the first king’s nephew hasn’t done anything to the city but already decided to run away from it. Based only from this story line, Elio somehow gets an idea that sounds ridiculous yet might be used to answer the question. After all, from the beginning of answering these numbers, every number seems not making any sense at all. He literally needs to think something out of the box to answer these from the beginning. Elio tries to connect it again with the first clue and first sign of number three. To answer both of them, Elio was thinking of using reverse cards which actually worked. If it’s going to work like that, his idea that he just got before seems to make sense in a different way. Since the second and third king’s nephews from the story are facing similar cases, Elio thinks that those positions are for those first clue and first sign. Which means that, the second sign is on the same position with the first king’s nephew where the case on him is totally different. From that Elio draws a conclusion that the second sign doesn’t not to be reversed and just go as it is which is going to be fourteen that written as ‘XIIII’ Now he gets two letters from the second sign which are R and N. “Now. What am I going to do with these?” He stops for a second as thinking about what R - N refers to. He looks back to the previous clue which is the su as pointing at Uno cards. “Does R mean as Red cards? Or reverse cards? But what is N for?” He asks himself confusedly and frustratedly. Once again, he only has an idea that might have some probability for ‘R’ but not for ‘N’. The fairy tale story comes through his mind once again and that gives him another unthinkable idea since he chose it to answer the second sign. Just like in the story, the three nephews refuse to get back to their loyal and luxurious life. Does that mean that I need to refuse to go back by not using the reverse card for this sign? That’s the idea that comes through Elio’s head from his answer for the sign pattern before. He knows it sounds totally ridiculous and not making sense at all but that is what it is. No clue, no hint, no other chances after answering this. Only his brain and instinct that he can rely on. This is such a big decision and out of the mind of thinking yet there is nothing else he can do. With that settled inside his mind, he decides that the letters from the second clue are the color of Uno cards which are red, blue, green, yellow, and black. “R means red,” Elio writes down his answer once again below the sign that he just rewrote the order “then N means..?” Back to his Italian thought since he is getting played around british and italian these whole time. Red in Italian is Rossa while Black in Italian is Neuro which somehow matches with the one he is looking for. Before writing down his first thought, he draws back again as to checking his answer once again. He looks up to the camera but just lets out a loud sigh of defeat. “Let’s just go as it is.” Elio says desperately as he once again lets out his deep breath. At this moment, Elio just wants to write anything that suddenly comes through his mind and what his instinct tells him. Since he only needs one letter to solve the code, he probably needs these two to be subtracted just like the given clue. With that, Elio decides to subtract the total of red cards with the total of black cards which means 25 minus 12 is 13. Letter number 13 is M and that is his final answer for the number three. All of his theory sounds crazy but he knows that this is the only answer that he can with a very limited amount of time. Done writing down his final answer with full of doubtful feeling, Elio takes a deep breath and lets out a loud sigh of despair. It looks like he is not really sure about his last answer but he must be sure about it. “Let’s end this anyway.” He says as showing the paper on camera. In only a couple of seconds, Elio’s heart is beating so fast and he actually starts sweating so much as it also feels so long for him. When one of the lights pops out, Elio feels all of the goosebumps inside him as he gasps a lot of air in his mouth. Green light. “HAH! I DID IT!” he exclaims excitedly as he jumps around a few times that he actually can beat those mind blowing codes. First and the very first time Elio ever feels this way after solving a question which can be called a new record for him. The case starts to open and Elio quickly backs to reality that his tasks have not finished yet. He has totally forgotten about the people from the other side of him. After the small celebration that he just did by himself, he quickly goes back to the case and takes out the laptop. Quickly opens it and gets the access for the laptop. Thankfully, Elio can directly use it and doesn’t need to solve anything such as getting a password for the laptop. “I win.” Elio says confidently as he opens the laptop and starts to open a program to solve the codes that he needs to. . . Hope Elio can make it on time.. Since the other side of the room is..
