“Wahh.. It’s so cold!” Sapphire says when they both step outside of the building. Elio stays silent and can’t believe that there will be a time that he will get this freedom from this company. He looks up and slowly takes a deep breath. “Wow.. How long has it been..?” He says softly which draws Sapphire’s attention. “Hm? Do you say something?” She asks and approaches Elio slowly. Elio still can’t take away his eyes from the sky that he has been wandering and feeling the fresh air that could never be better than this moment. “Nothing.” He says simply but Sapphire chuckles from his reply. “I know how you feel.” She says and looks around at people just walking on the nearby road. Both of them just stay like that for a minute until Sapphire breaks the silence one again. “Shall we go now?” She says and Elio simply replies with a nod again. Elio puts both of his hands inside the coat’s pocket and follows her to wherever she wants. They walk around quite far and get inside a coffee shop. Sapphire leads him to sit at the corner of the outdoor place. The coffee shop that Sapphire chose has the perfect view of Po river and it’s not too crowded. Elio wonders how she can know these kinds of hidden gems in this city. “How is it?” A voice comes behind him but he doesn’t need to look behind since he already knows whose voice this belongs to. “It’s nice.” Elio replies and finally turns his head to the voice source. Sapphire is behind him holding two cups of coffee in her hands. “Black coffee is fine, right?” She says and hands one of the cups. Elio just nods his head and takes one of the cups from her. “Here is the sugar. In case you need it.” She continues and hands him two sachets of sugar. “Thank you.” He replies and puts the sugar in his coffee. Now both of them just sit there together while enjoying the view of Po river. Meanwhile back to the company where Onyx and Obsidian are taken too. Both of them get into the health care room for their wounds treatment. “He lost lots of blood because the robot stabbed him pretty deep on his left thigh. He might wake up in a while.” The doctor says, the one who handles their wounds. “I see. Thank you for letting me know, doc.” Onyx replies with a concerned face. “You’re very welcome, miss. I will take my leave now.” He says and walks out of the room. After the doctor leaves the room, Onyx gets inside the curtain of where Obsidian’s bed is. She sighs heavily by looking at his current condition and sits beside him. Half an hour passes by quickly without Onyx even noticing it, Obsidian finally slowly opens his eyes. “Aghh..” he groans in pain as he is trying to get up. Seeing his action, Onyx quickly stands up from her seat and stops him to do so. “Don’t move too much. It only gets worse.” She says and he just notices that Onyx is right beside him. He just stays silent for a while and looks at his body, which is covered in bandages. “Please lay down and take a rest for now.” She says Onyx pushes his body gently to make him lay down on the bed carefully and he just obeys her order. When Obsidian goes back to lay down, Onyx pulls his blanket to cover his full body. “Are you alright?” Obsidian asks her, forgetting that his conditions are actually a lot worse than her. “Only scratches and they gave me some vitamins and medicines that I almost passed from exhausted before.” She explains “How about you?” She asks back even though she knows based on what she is looking at now. “Other than getting stabbed on the left thigh, everything seems fine.” He replies but still from his tone it clearly can be heard that he is in pain. “You won’t get those things if you just listen to me.” Onyx replies and somehow she puts on an irritated voice while saying it. “If I listen to you, you will be the one who is lying down here.” Obsidian quickly replies with both of his eyes closed. From his reply, Onyx only glares at him without saying anything. Well, what he just said is not wrong. Probably her condition might be even worse than him and might need more days to completely recover. Both of them stay silent for a moment until Onyx finds an idea to talk about since it looks like they need to work together again in the future. “What do you think will happen next?” She asks and her question makes Obsidian slowly open his eyes again then look at her. “Sorry?” Obsidian asks and of course looking for clarification of what she just said. It might have two meanings for him.. Onyx rolls her eyes and lets out a loud sigh. “I asked, what do you think will happen next? After we took the test.” She says and explains what she meant. “Ohh.. well I guess we are going to be teammates again? Or maybe this time we are on a different team.” Obsidian replies and takes his eyes away from her to the room’s ceiling. “Time really flies by, doesn't it? We have been working together for almost 5 months since the first time you got here.” Onyx says and chuckles awkwardly. “Yeah.” Obsidian simply replies which makes the situation even more awkward. The silence fills in the room once again. It feels weird for Onyx to talk to him like this aside from their working time. After all this time, they can only communicate during the work time and the only thing they can talk about is about their job. On the other hand, Obsidian can’t really react much and has no idea of how to reply to the person next to him. Just stay calm, damn it! His heart is beating so fast inside of him and he wishes that Onyx can’t hear it. Obsidian fights for his dear life inside of him. “Well..” Onyx says and there is a sound of her chair just moved. Obsidian tells himself to stay cool and tries no to look at her. “I will walk around for a while.” She says while she is getting up from her seat. Even though he actually wants Onyx to stay beside him, he can’t ask that out of nowhere, right? Who is he in Onyx’s life? He is literally just her co-worker. There is no way that he would allow himself or have the nerve to ask her for that. Onyx is just staring at him while Obsidian just simply nods his head and closes both of his eyes. When he closes his eyes, Onyx slides the curtain and walks out from the room. She closes the door behind her and leans on it immediately. “Hah…” She let out a loud sigh “Maybe he is just tired.” She talks to herself and looks at her right and left sides. As long as she can remember, she has never been here before. Even after all of her injuries after all of those missions, she never got treated in here. The air, the hallway’s colors, the furniture, everything is completely different. This place is a lot better and comfortable than the place when she is in Onyx Wolf. Not long when she just stays in front of the door, someone that looks like a nurse passes by and approaches her. “Hello there, Cub.” She greets Onyx “Are you feeling alright already?” She continues by asking Onyx about her condition. Onyx twitches one of her eyebrows from the nickname she just got but she will just ignore it for now. She answers the question by just nodding her head as a confirmation that her condition is getting better already. “Glad to hear that but I suggest you take a lot of rest for now.” She tells her with a concerning tone. “I’m fine. I just need to get some fresh air.” Onyx replies coldly to the nurse. “Alright. Feel free to walk around here. But actually there is nothing much in this area.” The nurse replies. The nurse’s reply takes Onyx attention and get more curious of what does she mean by ‘this area’ “I will take my le-” Just before the nurse can finish her sentence, Onyx suddenly cuts her off. “Area?” She asks and looks at the nurse with an raised eyebrow. “Yes.” The nurse simply answers her question and that doesn’t help Onyx at all. “Where is this place if I may ask?” Onyx asks her second question. “We are now on the second underground floor.” She answers it with a flat tone again. Then this floor is the place for.. As those memories of her, where she doesn’t want to know or remember, come back inside of her. Her breath becomes a bit heavier than before but she tries to hide so the nurse won’t notice it. The headache that she just got from the robot seems coming back and attacking her once again. “Oh. Ok, thank you.” Onyx says and walks back inside the room where she just got out before. “My pleasure.” The nurse answers and the door closes behind Onyx who is getting inside the room in a hurry. She leans her back once again on the door and her chest feels even tighter. “Ahh..” She lets out a loud sigh once again. From all of the places this building has, why must I come back here and get the treatment on this floor.. Onyx talks inside herself as she is trying to take a deep breath slowly and calming herself down. “Onyx?” Someone’s voice suddenly calls her out and it makes her eyes open instantly. She looks over to the voice source only to find Obsidian is standing beside the curtain while holding on to an intravenous pole as his support. “What's wrong?” Obsidian says with a worried face as he is trying to get closer at her. Onyx’s traumatized memories suddenly disappear when she looks at Obsidian’s condition who is worrying about her. His condition is still a lot worse than her and he shouldn’t move around yet he decided to look after Onyx after hearing her sigh. “I’m the one who should tell you that!” Onyx says in a panicked voice as she hurriedly walks toward Obsidian. When she reaches her hand out to hold onto him, she can feel that his legs are still trembling from standing up. “How can you get up from the bed when your legs are still trembling like this?!” Onyx yells at him with an angry tone. From her worriedness toward him, Obsidian can only stay silent and obeys her as she is leading his way back to his bed. Not forgetting that Onyx’s hand is holding his arm right now which feels like he is getting dragged by an angel back to the place he should rest. Onyx helps him to sit, lays down on the bed, and pulls the blanket over him to make him stay warm. Thank god.. I got a peek of heaven’s treatment.. Obsidian praises the god inside of him of what just happened to him for just around 1 minute. “Hah..” Another sigh comes out from Onyx once again, this one is louder than before “Can you look for yourself first?” She asks frustratedly to Obsidian who is laying down. Onyx is literally worried about him. Obsidian feels guilty and a weird happiness from how Onyx shows her concern toward him. I’m allowed to feel this secretly, right? Obsidian asks himself and gathers his courage to meet with Onyx’s eyes. Gosh.. her eyes.. “I thought something bad just happened.” Obsidian replies calmly. “What?” Onyx asks with a raised eyebrow. “I heard your sigh when you closed the door.” Obsidian answers. That’s not weird right? I mean she sighed really loud before. Anyone would notice it in this completely quiet room, right?? Only the sound of the air conditioner can be heard. Obsidian says and keeps asking himself to try not to sound too worried or weird. “Just because you heard my loud sigh, you can ignore your own condition?” Onyx replies irritatedly and glares at him. Hearing her reply, it makes Obsidian want to bury himself alive so badly. At the same time, Obsidian feels happy that Onyx actually worried about him but how scary it is if she gets angry like this. After all, this is his first time that he gets treated like this by her. “Sorry..” Obsidian replies with a tone that is full of regret and looks away from her eyes. Another sigh comes out from her and there is a sound of a chair being dragged beside him. “Thank you for worrying about me, I suppose?” Onyx says as she is sitting down on her chair. What a weird and cute way to say thank you tho?! And did she just notice it?! Obsidian’s heart is beating faster than previously. Both of them stay quiet for a while and eventually Onyx starts dozing off on her seat. Finally he gets the chance to look back at her and watches her sleepy face. It makes him chuckle at the view and he decides to just stare at her quietly. Back to where Elio and Sapphire are hanging out together in the coffee shop.
After enjoying the view for half an hour, she decides to take Elio out on other places that they might be able to visit before the curfew they have.
“Shall we go now? Or you prefer to stay here?” She asks Elio who is drinking his cup of coffee. Elio answers her with a nod as he finishes his coffee. “Hmm.. where should we go..” She says with a wondering voice “Have any idea? Or is there a place you want to visit?” She turns her eyes and looks at Elio. “Anywhere just fine.” Elio replies. “Well.. we still have around one hour before we get back to the company since we have a curfew.” She says and looks at her watch on her left arm. No response from Elio, he just looks at her and turns his head back to the river. “Oh! How about some snacks? For your teammates.” She suggests him with excitement as always. Elio is a bit taken away from her suggestion and furrows his eyebrows. “What?” He asks in confusion. “Snacks for your teammates.” She repeats her suggestion, thinking if Elio just didn’t hear clear enough. “You know.. I saw them when they got outside of the test room. They got a lot of injuries..” She explains. Is she always like this with the other members as well? Taking care and close with each other? His mind starts working to know and identify what this person is actually looking for. When he is busy thinking of those things, his thoughts get interrupted by her chuckles. “I know that you guys haven’t talked with each other besides the working days.” She says, seems like she knows what exactly is going on inside Elio’s mind based on his eyes and the face he just made. “Just..” She continues and holds one of Elio’s hand which makes Elio jolt from the sudden close physical contact “Take this as your first step to get to know them better, okay?” She encourages Elio to accept her suggestion. At this moment, Elio can’t think anything and nothing comes out either. He thinks about the later on situation where he must be so awkward with them. Actually the biggest reason why his mind stopped was because of the sudden physical she made with him. “Please?” She continues persuading Elio and this time she squeezes his hand lightly as she is really hoping that Elio will accept it. At this point, his brain is not in his head anymore, probably already flew away and joins the clouds. No thoughts, he just answers her with a small nod and looks away from her gaze. “Yey! You’re the best!” She says with excitement. The next movement she makes is from another whole level for Elio to think about. Even though he replies without any other thought, he still thinks that after answering her suggestion, she will let go of his hand. It becomes worse.. but good in another way as well. She clings closer to Elio as her body literally touches Elio’s arm. Now his head feels like overheating yet the person who is behind it doesn’t have any idea of what her action has done to him. “Let’s go before it’s too late. I know the best one near here.” She continues and drags Elio’s with her, still with their arms clinging to each other. Elio doesn’t say any word to her and just allows her to drag him anywhere she wants. After half an hour, they are done buying the snacks and have returned to the company where they lived. “Ahh.. that was fun! It’s been a while for you, right?” Sapphire says as they get inside the lift. She pushes the button to the second underground floor at the place where Obsidian and Onyx are. “How is it?” She asks and turns her face a bit closer to Elio. Elio still doesn’t get used to her actions even though they already spend the whole afternoon with her. “It was fine.” he replies, still unable to look at her with this close distance. The sound of them arriving at the floor pops up and both of them are heading toward the room. When they enter the health care area, one of the nurses, the one that talked with Onyx before, greets them. “Good evening, Miss Sapphire.” She says. “Hi. Where are the cubs?” Sapphire replies and asks the nurse while Elio is looking around beside her. Wow.. I have never been into this place before.. He says and gets mesmerized by the health care area furniture and detail. Somehow it makes the area become cozier and doesn’t feel like he is in a hospital or something. “They are in room number one.” The nurse replies and Sapphire bids goodbye to her. While they are on their way to the room, sapphire seems to notice what is going on inside Elio’s mind. She lets out a small giggle which draws Elio’s attention in an instant. Too cute for him to resist.. “You never been in here I supposed.” She says and Elio can feel his heart start to beat faster again. How can this person know my hectic mind? Elio asks himself and looks away from her which only gives her let out another chuckle. Sapphire knocks the door first before opening it and lets them get inside. Both of them just go straight to where Obsidian and Onyx are. “Hello~” Sapphire greets them and only to find that Onyx is sleeping on the chair while Obsidian is still awake. At first Obsidian glares at her until Elio shows up behind her. His eyes slowly go down to where Sapphire’s and Elio’s and.. yeah, Sapphire still clings her arm around Elio’s. Knowing where Obsidian's eyes are directed, Elio quickly removes his arm from her which makes her jolt by the sudden action. “Eh? What’s wrong? You didn’t do that before.” Sapphire says to Elio with a confused and worried face. Elio doesn’t say anything but he is just glaring at Obsidian who is looking at him with a smug face. His glare sends him some kind of signal like ‘don’t even think about it’
