Mazaròl Lions : Chapter 5 "Moving Out"

 “Sorry, sir. What do you mean by-” He gets cut off when someone enters from behind him. It’s that nerdy woman which makes Elio somehow still disgusted but at the same time, wonders as well. “Thank you for coming, today’s interview. Please allow me to lead you outside from this building.” She says with a smile on her face. Elio wants to look back to his interviewer but he’s not there anymore, he probably already left the room with the hidden door back then. With that, Elio starts to pack up his things and brings the suitcase with him. Both of them leave the room quietly, this person is not that bubbly like before. Because of what happened in the room, that makes Elio’s curiosity increase and tries to break the silence. “Umm.. miss?” He tries to call her out but no response from the person. Since Elio thinks that she probably doesn’t hear it or his voice is pretty low, that’s why Elio tries to call her one more time. “Sorry, mi-” He suddenly gets cut off again from her. “Once again, thank you for coming. We’ll see you tomorrow.” She says, bows a little to Elio then walks away from him.. Without noticing it, they already arrive at the front door, and it feels like a lot faster than before. “Umm..” Elio just turns his head to look for the woman but she no longer can be seen again. Everything happened so fast that Elio barely can catch up with every moment that he got from the early morning. He checks what time it is now and it shows that it’s not even near 12 in the afternoon. Since Elio doesn’t have anything to do and his curiosity crambles inside of him, he quickly goes back to his apartment to check what is inside the suitcase. As usual, right after he arrives at his apartment, he just takes off his shoes quickly, not minding the position and throws his suit and backpack on the couch. Elio already read the paper that was given to him on the way back here. The only thing he needs to check is what is inside this suitcase. The suitcase is not that big, only a normal one that people who work in an office usually use. When he tries to open it, something frustrating him is that the suitcase has a lock with number codes on it which he doesn’t know what the password is. “Aghhh!” Elio groans loudly and rubs his head out of frustration. He throws his body on his couch, feeling defeated that these people already one step forward him this whole time from the beginning. To lessen his frustration, Elio stands up from his couch and goes out for a walk, probably buying something for lunch as well. He goes to the nearest small restaurant where he comes almost every weekend to buy his lunch or even dinner since this is also the cheapest. When Elio just wants to start eating his food, his mind is still wandering around with the codes that he met this morning. How can I never know about such codes? Maybe after he finishes this, he will get back to the apartment and do some research or learn about those more. Finishing his food already, Elio walks towards the cashier to pay for the meal he just ordered. Elio just pulls out his wallet inside his pocket, something comes out together with it which draws Elio’s attention into it. It’s the paper that his interviewer gave him this morning and it falls on a little puddle which makes it a bit wet. Because of that, Elio groans once again while bending down his body to pick up the paper. Just when he wants to pick it up, the words from the paper suddenly disappear a bit and other words come out because of it. From that, Elio quickly leaves the restaurant and runs back to his apartment. Arriving at his apartment, he quickly pours more water at the paper, not that much because that is probably will tear it apart. The welcoming words suddenly disappear and 4 numbers start to show up on the paper. Elio walks toward the suitcase and his memory is correct, he needs 4 numbers of codes to open this suitcase. “These really are something.” He is muttering to himself and smirks of another surprising discovery. When Elio finishes entering the 4 codes, thankfully, the suitcase opens automatically. What he finds inside the suitcase is another smaller suitcase and a small piece of note. Firstly, he takes the suitcase first out and his prediction, finally for the first time, has a lock on it. He puts the suitcase beside him and takes the piece of note from the previous suitcase. 26 There are 2 numbers on it but the smaller suitcase needs 4 codes which means this note is not related to it. Just a few seconds after the suitcase opened, suddenly Elio hears someone knocking on his apartment’s door. Based on how Elio lives, it can be expected that it’s very rare that people want to come to Elio’s place. Elio puts all of things aside and walks toward his front door then peeks at the small hole of the door to check who it is in front of his room. There is only one person in front of the door but Elio doesn’t know or recognise who she is. She is blonde, wearing a white cropped top t-shirt, and a cropped black blazer as well. A few seconds pass by as Elio is still trying to figure out who this person is, the woman starts knocking his door again. “I know you’re in there.” She says annoyedly. That caught Elio by surprise, how can this person know he is in the house now. He looks back to the suitcase and thinks that it's probably related to the suitcase and the job he took from the company. There is a high chance that he gets his prediction correct because right after he opens the suitcase this person showed up in front of his door. With that, Elio unlocks his apartment door and slowly opens the door, staying on guard with his foot behind the door in case there is something going to happen. “Ugh!” The woman rolls her eyes right after she sees Elio’s peeking at the door. “So he’s right that you move like a sloth.” Those are the first words coming from the woman which makes Elio understand that this person must be from the new company. “Umm.. what can I-” Elio just about to ask her something but then the woman cuts him off. Seriously, all the people he meets in this company never let him finish talking. “Get it boys.” She says and clicks her finger, pointing it inside Elio’s apartment. Suddenly a lot of people show up behind her and that makes Elio panicked by the sudden movement. “Whoa! Whoa! Hold on a second!” Elio says with a raised and panicked voice. The shorter woman only gives him a confused look at him and tilts her head. “What are you going to do?” Elio asks her which only makes her even more confused. “Really?” She replies with a raised eyebrow. “Don’t mind him boys. Just do your job.” She looks back to the people behind her and points at Elio’s apartment with her thumb. With that, two guys hold Elio to get him away from the door and the others proceed to get inside his apartment. “Hey! What are you guys doing?!” Elio says while trying to get away from the two guys who are holding him. “Ssttt!” The woman puts her hand on Elio’s mouth to shut him up “Be quiet will ya?” Elio only stares at her with widened eyes and slowly she removes her hand from Elio. “Can you..” Elio breathes heavily “Please at least explain to me what is going on?” Elio asks the woman, which only makes the woman pinch the bridge of her nose. “Does that need something to do with ya?” She replies and rolls her eyes at him. “Of course I need to know about it! This is my apartment and you guys don’t have any permission to do that!” Elio defends himself. “Besides, I haven’t decided if I’ll join your company or whatever that is.” He continues, which makes the woman look at him confusedly. “You opened that suitcase then said you haven't decided? Pfft..” The woman scoffs and smirks at Elio. “Do you know the funniest part of it?” As the woman says that to Elio, he can’t say anything back to her and now it’s his turn to look at her confusedly. “You rushed back to your apartment as soon as you figured out the passcode and thought no one saw you, right?” She says with a smirk and raised eyebrow “Heh, what a clown.” She says mockingly and turns her face away from him. This is the first time Elio got played by many people like this, especially for those that just met him today. Many people might feel pissed or angry towards them but Elio is always different, he fired up wanting to get payback, revenge, or expecting other surprises from them. Since this is the first time in a while that Elio loses so many times and these people are always one step ahead of him. Not long after our conversation is done, one of the guys that get inside my apartment goes out and gives that woman a paper. “This should be all.” He says and the woman takes the paper. Her eyes are scanning the paper from head to bottom. “Alright. Let’s go then.” She says and starts walking to the black van followed by me and the other guys who are still holding on to me. “Hold on a second! Where are-” Elio gets cut off again by the two guys who push him to get into the van. Because of the push, Elio almost tripped when he got inside the van. “There he goes, miss.” one of the guys reports the woman and she tells him to get back to the apartment. First thought before getting inside of it, Elio expected that it would be just a normal van with only seats or anything proper interior for the van. Surprisingly, it’s not, totally different and beyond Elio's expectation. First things Elios sees are various electronic devices that look like a command room. If Elio looks furthermore at the back, it’s still not clear enough because of the dark glass but Elio can see that it looks like a workshop. Right after he steps inside, Elio is too stunned to speak or move an inchi by the view from the van. But someone interrupts his awe by clearing her throat. “Ekhem.” He turns his head to the sound, his right side, which still has a small space beside the electronic devices where there are small comfy couches. The woman who leads him before is already sitting on one of the couch sides and looking at him with a raised eyebrow. “You lost kid?” She says mockingly then scoffs. She turns her eyes back to the tab she’s holding in her hand, leaving Elio standing there. On the other hand, Elio just looks at her and his surroundings, still trying to connect all the dots of things that came so fast from this morning. “Take a seat will ya?” Suddenly she breaks the silence. “Yes, mam.” Elio replies and walks to the nearest seat for him. “I’m not that old.” A quick cold reply from the woman and a death glare to Elio’s words. Now Elio already takes his seat and the van fills in with awkward silence again. “Sorry, Miss. Where are we going?” Elio asks the woman. No response from her which makes Elio regretting his decision. They only stay there, Elio is tapping his finger on his knees and the woman is still focusing on her tab, looks like she’s doing or working on something. Probably only takes a few minutes until the woman stands up from her seat and drags Elio’s cloth to stand up as well. “Ouch! Wait! Where-” Elio is struggling to get away from the woman’s grip but surprisingly this woman is so strong. With that, his body gets thrown up to the chair in front of the one electronic device. “First day of work.” She says and puts her tab in front of his computer. Elio looks at the tab and the woman back to back confusedly which only makes the woman pissed of him. “Ughh!” She groans and pushes Elio aside “This is why I hate to teach a newbie that’s working like a sloth.” She takes control of the computer and shows the application which Elio gets the idea immediately of what he needs to do. “Solve-” This time, it’s Elio’s turn to cut her off from finishing her sentences. He pushes her away from the computer and quickly tries to solve the codes that are already shown on the tab at his computer. Again, just like the test, he meets so many new codes that are very rare in every business. Thankfully, because of the hard test he got this morning, the memory is still fresh and gets the clue of how to solve the codes. “Two minutes.” Elio hears it from behind him, the woman must be telling him the time to solve this code. Without hesitation, Elio puts all of his focus on the computer and solves all of the codes there within 2 minutes. Finishing with all of the codes broken, Elio let out a sigh of relief that he got it on time, at least 22 seconds earlier. “Now we’re talking. Heh.” The woman says and scoffs. After Elio hears the comments, the sound of her heels walks away from him. He looks at where the sound stops, the woman is already sitting on the previous couch and doing something again on her tab. “Umm.. miss..?” Elio tries to break the silence and takes her attention, just for asking a simple question. This time, the call from Elio makes the woman look up at him immediately. “Is it alright if I ask you a question right now?” As always, Elio never forgets to be polite with someone he just knows or to women. “Go ahead.” She says and turns off her tab’s screen. “Where are we going?” That’s the first question coming from Elio. He knows that might be a stupid question for people like them but still he needs to know, right? “Company.” She replies simply. Then what’s my belongings for? What were those codes for? Am I getting tested again? Many questions pop out on Elio’s mind right now but he tries his best not showing a confused look at her. Come to think of it, Elio realizes that every code from this morning’s test and the previous one almost at least has one same thing in one with another. Probably the same algorithm? Biggest probability is this one. “Then.. Can I ask about the codes? What were those for?” Elio decides to ask the second question. Unfortunately, the woman suddenly stands up and speaks to him. “We’ve arrived.” She says and walks toward the van’s door to get out from here. With that, Elio follows right behind her and it’s true, they take him back to the company’s building. When he steps out from the van, Elio looks at the company once again, somehow just standing there and staring at the building. The woman notices that then she lets out a sigh and walks towards Elio to snap him out of it. “Hey!” She calls him and flicks her finger in front of Elio's eyes which successfully makes him back to his senses. “Come on.” she says and starts walking again. “Sorry, Miss.” As Elio follows her, just before he thought that the woman would lead him inside the company building again but he’s wrong. The woman leads him to the old building next to the company, which almost looks like a haunted building with five floors that was built a long time ago. Because of this view, Elio is expecting he would get more surprising things inside this building. Get inside the building, it still looks like just an abandoned old building but as he keeps following the woman, she suddenly stops and looks at Elio. “Turn around.” She says to him but Elio only tilts his head in confusion “Close your eyes.” With that she turns her back at him and Elio just does what he just told. Just a few seconds after that, the sound of some gears moving and cracking with one another. Even though Elio already closes his eyes tightly, he still can see some lights coming behind him. No longer sound from behind him, with that he must be allowed to turn around and open his eyes. Just as expected, he’s correct, the woman greets him with a smirk beside the door that welcomes him into a very different room. That leaves Elio speechless and just standing there gazing at the entrance of the building, the outside is totally the opposite of what he finds inside here. To snap him out again, the woman nudges him from behind with her shoulder. “This is only the entrance.” She says and scoffs, continuing her way to Elio's destination. She leads him to get inside an elevator and gets to the second floor. Arriving at the second floor, the woman lets Elio walk out from the elevator first and she stays inside of it. “Remember the numbers, right?” she says to Elio and gives a keycard to him while pointing at the wall. Elio turns his head to where the woman is pointing at and gets the signal of it. There are two signs of directions, 21-23 with the left arrow and 24-26 with the right arrow. “Meet you at five.” she says and closes the elevator’s door. With that, Elio looks at his right side and searches for his number which is the one in the corner. He taps the keycard and gains the access from the door to open it. When Elio steps inside, it’s just an ordinary apartment room. Locks the door, tries to look around his probably new place since what is happening from this morning, that would be the biggest probability. As Elio walks inside his bedroom, he finds a medium size box on his desk. Just a normal box without codes or something, a simple box that can be opened easily. With that, Elio opens the box and finds one all black suit set with the accessories as well and a badge. The first item he picks is that one black onyx badge and looks at it. Onyx Wolf.
